Would you prefer more flat plain building land or more crazy Aeklast terrain?

Most of our current map was pretty difficult to build on. Varied terrain like the Aeklast is wonderful but flatlands is needed to be able to build- that and sources of water. As a faction leader, I can't say how many times I didn't want to settle somewhere because I couldn't justify it without the river or lake. I guess that's probably me being picky on the last part though.

Rather it be varying and stray away from flat. Like previously said let's have a wholesome world for once without the 100000 settlements that have never seen more then 3 rps.

Bit of both rly, just emphasise in how wild the world is, all the while keeping some sense of geography.

I.E: snow up north, but wouldn't mind a volcano in the middle of the mountain chain, etc

Edit: rough terrain compared to flatlands also allows for whacky and interesting constructions, that don't get copy pasted instantly

Even if it's terrible to build on I do have a hankering for castles and grand estates built in fantastic locations that push the bounds of what is practical and possible.

Keep it wild and abstract but make the biomes bigger than they were in the Aeklast. It was so small and each biome could really only have maybe 1 player region in it, or 2 very small ones. But that's because it was less than 1/3 of the map at the time. If the full map is in the style, that'd be wonderful!

EDIT: Also yeah rivers and ponds/lakes for making life feasible.

Well, now that's confirmed by a staff member and not me, I'll explain what I'm attempting ^^

Basically, primary biomes and secondary biomes.
The primary biomes are larger more standard biomes while the secondary biomes are smaller, more specialised biomes~
There's some crossover where a secondary compliments a primary but hopefully the geography makes a little sense. It's probably the loosest I've been with logic.

If there's a nice volcano mountain on the next map I can promise a beautiful dwarven fortress, thats what we wanted to build this map but there was no real good volcano to do it on

I like the idea of having to explore the map and clear it from any hostiles before settling. I also want you to have fun Fair and Glorious Strudel.
