The cultists chanted, their candles and chalk laid upon the stone. A circle of magic so large it could rival the diameter of the tower Foli erupted from the earth. Each rune, each sigil lit up with violet energies, transferring to the next. Even without the staff, they would have their result. The end demanded it so. The man in the center released his collected divine energies he absorbed, killing every other cultist within the center, including himself as the sigil lit up with their blood spilled onto the stone.

And then the very world itself cracked nearly in twain.

The explosion was deafening, and the power of its shockwave shattered every piece of glass, both ornamental and functional without a second thought. The very ground around the mountains cracked open like an eggshell, and magma poured out from all sides, decimating any chance of survival that those near the explosion had with them. From Frjalstad to Tyr'Varune, the smoke and flame could be seen as it covered the skies above with ash and soot. Even the Aestatians, the Hanese-all could see what just occurred.

To those near the center that were not instantly vaporized, they would be deaf for the rest of their lives, as the volcanic eruption sent such a sound that the world itself heard it four, no-five times over. Rubble was thrown into the air, going across the world as fireballs of hot rocks came down like meteors from the sky. Armageddon. If it wasn't that, it was a bad omen, or yet another mistake of mortal man that the world must pay for...

And then from it yet louder, the cry of a Dragon roared, and the sky itself darkened from her flaming wings.

After the Initial shock and awe, Monsaraz and Lorena were buried beneath the magma..and the world itself heaves as it continues to split, and shake.

Soon, reports of dragons appearing, sightings-even attacks on the outskirts of every nation began in earnest.

And yet it is far from over...

The world was burning.

The magma from the original explosion of the Volcano continued to endlessly spout and rip, covering the now hypervolcano mountainside in endless ash and soot. The skies were not much better. The entire continent now lay in proverbial darkness, as ash covered the sky from the north to the south. The frost now expanded at a greater rate, and the Reikswald was now being covered in frost earlier then it usually was this time of year.

The lands of Versieva continued to lose fertility, as the immense heat made the dry, cracked earth expand from its original point of the volcanic range. The north followed in the sudden outbursts of desolation, as a deep freeze from the north began to make its way, hardening and freezing any exposed skin mere minutes after contact.

The world was freezing.

Sand ravaged the vortex as it swallowed up the pyramid. The small adventuring party ran outside, knowing the choices they made. Sealing a portal to Khasma, the realm of Foli, they also unwittingly unsealed the already awakened Sal'uun. A tradeoff, one which could have ended the world either way. A risk to prevent madness which otherwise would have overwhelmed the already weakened world.

But it was not all meant to be. With the third and final dragon awakened, the disasters begin once more in a final, despondent wave. The war will finally come into full swing, and the world now draws their lines in the sand.

War is coming, with the Mortal realm and the Dragons preparing to dance in a bid for their chance at survival.

And a faint, forgotten power stirs in ruins across the continent..

The ground shook that day, as the first armies began their attack. After septs of preparation, they finally began their assault on one another-and the world suffered for it where they did. From the south, Sal'uuns force of two dragons and five thousand infantry breached through the mesas and rushed toward the city of Bragoa, intent on claiming it and the area around for their chosen master. The Infantry held back as a sandstorm was created to crash over the area, signalling an attack, but also a lack of vision for Rohana's forces.

Defending as best they could, the two thousand infantry and one dragon held their best, but were ultimately overwhelmed as their dragon was ambushed in the sky and killed before the attack truly began as it scouted the sandstorm. The city fell in a matter of minutes, and is now a sandy ruin as the desert creeps toward their new lands. The city of Bragoa, Tikhameru and Djenet is now considered uninhabitable due to conquest or occupation, and the war has begun in earnest.

Meanwhile, the old pillars, those harbingers of destruction which nearly sank the world into chaos begin to start emitting significant amounts of planar energy into the world at a rapid rate. not enough for most major beings to notice, but to mortal mages, it is very clear that something, or someone, is trying to give a hint, or perhaps a helping hand...

OOC:
Hello again! The campaign for the next little bit call for the Pillars to begin to be rebuilt. While not all nations are yet aware but inevitably will be, rebuilding the pillars and bringing back the tower will be the main effort made by the players to begin the next world. Though two have been established, ten remain, and the forces that seek to impede you are beginning to take notice. Once this is established, the campaign will enter the next stage before its finale. Good luck out there, and hurry, or else we'll all die!

From the cold cold north came a grim set of cold air. The fires of civilization-of living mortalkind that were not the toughest in the land, had been snuffed out by the beyond freezing temperatures. The corpses of thousands of bodies, both animals and people litter the fields and cities for days..before they are swallowed up the permafrost and snow. The entire North is now uninhabitable..and the cold is creeping south. Fast. Revenhault now often seen below freezing temperatures during the day and at night, and the garrisons have trouble keeping up with the cold. The same is reported in Seori and Rivedora..it is more then likely these settlements will become uninhabitable soon as well.

And three Pillars remain.
